Andy Hinterlong Retirement

We’d like to congratulate Andy Hinterlong, Morris Yard Manager, on his recent retirement! He has been an extremely valuable member of the UPI team and we wish him well!

Words from Andy:

“I retired from the Department of Corrections with 31 years in. I was enjoying retirement when Jim Bailer (UPI Superintendent) called me 4 times and Joel Bailer (UPI VP of Construction) called me 2 times (the same day) to come out of retirement and come to work for them in the Morris, IL yard. I came in and started working as the yard manager. As time went on, I stated to become friends with the foremen and their crews. To me, those were and are some of the best times I have had with this company. Unfortunately, 3.5 years later my health is forcing me to retire. My plans are to kick back on my 53 acres in Tennessee and enjoy what is left of my life. I plan on hunting, fishing and exploring my property with my Razor.”

“I would like to thank Andy for all he has done to help UPI be successful in the Chicago area and BP work. We could not have covered all we have without him. Not enough good things I can say about him.” – Jim Bailer, Superintendent
